Not to mention she knew MJ wasn’t Moses’. She did a home DNA test when he was three months and he wasn’t Moses’ son. She knew the only other man was Tone. She figured if she never mentioned it would be okay. Moses never acted any different toward MJ, so Tyrisha felt it wasn’t any need to bring up the subject. MJ was high yellow with curly hair and light grey eyes just like Tone’s and Mezzie’s son, AJ.

Tyrisha turned the water off and dried off. She applied some body butter to her smooth cocoa skin and slipped on a t-shirt and leggings. She grabbed the bottle of Ciroc and took a swig then made a face indicating the liquor burned going down her throat. Just as she was about to take another swig she heard Mezzie’s squeaky voice thanking the nanny. Tyrisha rolled her eyes and put the bottle under the cabinet to go downstairs to start drama. She was always in the mood for that.

Mezzie sat rocking Ray on her lap while Tiffany planted kisses on Madison and MJ. AJ laid on the couch sleep with his batman blanket on. Tiffany looked up at Tyrisha coming down the stairs with a smirk on her face.

“Where y’all coming from, Tiff?” Tyrisha asked, standing in the doorway of the living room now.

“Taking care of business, why didn’t you tell the nanny to leave if you were here?” Tyrisha shot back.

“Tiff, relax I just came in and took a quick shower I was about to tell her to leave but I heard your voice,” Tyrisha lied. She actually had plans to head back out. Just then Moses and Reshawn came into the house. Moses cut his eyes at Tyrisha and picked up MJ from Tiffany. He took MJ upstairs to get him ready for bed. They all had a long night and was sure shit would hit the fan before the morning. Tyrisha followed behind him with her arms crossed. Moses put MJ into the crib in the corner and dimmed the lights. He walked into the adjourning bedroom that he and Tyrisha shared.

“You got nothing to say to me Moses?” Tyrisha snapped her neck.

“What you want me to say? We in New York because of the shit you put all of us in. You been ghost and if I find out you out there being a hoe again, I swear you won’t open them legs again,” Moses calmly threatened.

“I’m over this shit, Moses. What Tone did is over with and I’m tired of dwelling on what went down a year ago.”

“You’re okay with your son and Madison almost losing their life? Not to mention Tiffany could have been paralyzed?” Moses asked suspiciously. If Tyrisha didn’t answer right, her ass would be picking herself off the floor.

“No, I’m not okay with that but I want to go on about my life, I want to be back in Miami living my life. Not in New York dealing with this shit,” Tyrisha softened up. She didn’t want to deal with Tone and the bullshit anymore. Even though Tone did what he did, Tyrisha still couldn’t handle him being killed.

  Chapter Ten

Mezzie sat in bed with her laptop in her lap, Reshawn laid besides her watching the game. Mezzie searched through all records on Google and countless other search engines for the results of the name she found on the mail in the kitchen, Kimbree Garazano. A Facebook page came up with a picture of the woman Mezzie had seen with Tone. Mezzie clicked her profile praying her it wasn’t private. Her prayers were heard.

Mezzie spent three hours looking through Kim’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. She ran down the hall to Moses’s bedroom not bothering to knock on the door. Moses sat up in the bed with Tyrisha and MJ laid on his chest.

“Well, damn, we don’t knock?” Moses joked.

“I got some news for you, boy.” Mezzie was so hype about what she found out.

“What’s up? What you found out?” Moses was now interested.

“The ‘woman closet’ belongs to Tone’s wife! I’m not talking about wifey or girlfriend I’m taking about legal binding marriage certificate wife.” Mezzie jumped up and down. Finding this info was like getting a brownie point and she so desperately needed to be accepted.

“Tone is not married, I was with nigga for years so I would know.” Tyrisha stirred out her sleep.

“You wake up for that, right?” Moses looked sideways at Tyrisha before turning back to Mezzie. “Mezzie, how do you know?”

“I just spent three hours going through her Facebook, Instagram and Twitter looking for a clue of some sort. I know people live on those things including me. I searched the name I saw on a piece of mail in the kitchen. Her Facebook and couple of dating websites popped up saying she was last logged in a year ago. On her Facebook, Tone is posted all over it and she has an album with wedding pics. They look to be old because Tone had braids in some of the pics. So now I’m really interested right? So I go in and look at all her dating websites and find her profile stating she just wants someone to hang out with nothing serious. Then I do a search on just her last name and Jeremy Garazano pops up; he owns a medical practice in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. I find his Facebook and low and behold that’s his daughter.” Mezzie took a breath and looked at Moses and Tyrisha.

“This bitch is Nev and Max from Catfish.” Tyrisha laughed but inside she wanted to cry. How could she be sleeping and in a relationship with a married man.

“Damn, Mez, when we get back home I’m gonna need you to enroll in some computer classes. You would be a big help for new business contacts.”

“Thanks, I’m assuming they are married but separated for a while and now are back together. I know this because she post selfies with him and they are as recent as yesterday. If you scroll back a year or two you will notice her stating she just wants a man to cuddle with after a long shift at work.”

“Now that we know what we working with and who, we need to hit this nigga so bad he gonna want me to end his life. Thanks for putting in the extra work that wasn’t asked of you, we appreciate you.” Moses held his hand out to high five Mezzie.

“You welcome. I’m going to feed Ray and I’ll be sleep for the morning.” She left the room and climbed in the bed with Ray and his bottle.

Kim pulled up to the address that was in her phone. She looked around the nice neighborhood and wondered how so much evil could be going on inside that one house. She put the code she was given and was let inside the gates, then pulled her Lexus besides a Range Rover. She knocked on the door and waited to be let in. Lace opened the door and Kim walked in dressed in scrubs with a bag in her hand.

“Where is she?” Kim looked around the beautiful decorated house. There were light hues of brown and red, with expensive statues situated along the foyer. While following behind Lace, she looked at the pieces of art and the detail of the crown molding that followed her around the house.

“Upstairs. We set up everything for you. These four rooms are yours. This first one is the operating room/delivery room. This next one is the recovering room for after delivery. This here room is the examination room and the next one here is where the babies will be kept, so think of it as a nursery,” Lace explained as Kim looked at the rooms in shock. The rooms looked straight out the hospital, top of the line incubators and some stuff the hospital probably didn’t even have yet.

“How did you get this stuff?” Kim blurted.

“Black market and my father owns a hospital in Jamaica,” Lace responded nonchalantly.

“Can I see where the women are held? I need to know if their accommodations are well,” Kim questioned. If this is what she had to do, she would make sure the woman were nice and comfortable.

“Very well. Through these doors,” Lace instructed. Kim followed down a fancy corridor of doors. Lace opened each door where each woman had a nice room and bathroom connected. They had TV, laptops and a closet full of clothes even though they weren’t permitted to leave.

“This is beautiful,” Kim slipped and complimented.

“I bet you thought I had them on pissy mattresses and bleeding and shit. They are treated well; they can walk around the house and even swim in the pool when weather permits. They get together and have girl talk in the Jacuzzi room and we have a Lamaze instructor come in twice a week for the pregnant girls,” Lace informed. He walke
d to the intercom system.

“Lisa, please come to the medical pavilion, please,” He said politely.

“I appreciate you doing this. I have a few rules. You can talk to the women as much as you like and become friends but they are not to leave the house, use the phone or use Facebook. When the women deliver, they are given a couple weeks until they have to hit the gym and get back in shape. I try to give them a couple months before they get pregnant again. At any time if you feel uncomfortable, come talk to me and I will gladly let you resign.” Lace lightly patted Kim’s shoulder.

“I understand. I will get to work now.” Kim walked into the medical wing leaving Lace. Lace pulled his phone out, dialed a number and disappeared down the next wing which was off limits to everyone.

Kim sat up some pictures from home. The room also smelled so sterile that she decided to spray some light perfume around the room. She remembered she forgot to ask Lace a question. She pressed the intercom.

“Lace, please ring my private line, please.” In under a minute, the phone situated on Kim’s desk rung.

“Is there a problem?” Lace answered.

“Yes, I need a staff. I’m a doctor but I’m nothing without a team of nurse and aides.”

“Don’t worry, I have three hired nurses, and six aids who will alternate shifts.”

“When will they start? You wanted these babies delivered tonight.”

“They should be all on their way; I have the six aides all on call since she is delivering three babies.”

  “Thank you, I appreciate it.”

“No problem. Come in the next wing and have a drink when you’re shift is over and pick up your check.”

“I thought the money you gave my husband was payment?” Kim was a little confused.

“Nah, that was for his greedy ass, and I bet he didn’t break you off with none. You’re the doctor and you will be paid just like one. Stack ya’ money on the side. He don’t need to know about it.”

“Well, thank you. I really appreciate that,” Kim said grateful. She had given up working so her savings were getting lower and Tone never paid her when she helped one of his men when they were hurt.

“Just remember to come by before you leave for the night.” Lace ended the call.

Kim sat behind her desk refreshing her Facebook and gloating about the amazing position she was offered, but not in too much detail, when a beautiful caramel complexion girl with hazel eyes and red hair came in the room toting a huge stomach and swollen feet.

“You must be Lisa. I am Doctor Kim and I will be delivering your babies and making sure all your needs are taken care of.” Kim introduced herself.

“Hey, Kim, I am Lisa. This is my first time delivering a baby. Will this hurt?”

“Everything hurts, darling, but I will make sure you don’t feel as much pain and will be comfortable as I can make you,” Kim ensured the girl. “Now I need you to tell me everything I need to know.” Kim looked over her Ray Ban reading glasses.

  “Okay.”

Kim had Lisa situated in the delivery room, she had an IV and Pitocin to jumpstart the labor. Kim turned the TV to BET for Lisa and left the room. Kim wanted to keep the babies in as long as she could. It was already ten at night and she knew nothing would be going on tonight and besides Tone kept blowing her phone up. Kim entered Lace’s wing to pick up her check.

Lace was sitting in the chair with a book in his hand; she admired a man who read. She knocked on the door and he looked up and smiled. He closed his book and walked over to his desk.

“How was your first day?” Lace sat on the end of his desk.

“Good, the staff you hired is great and the women are very nice. Lisa is in labor but nothing should be happening soon. I will go on home and the nurses know to call me if she starts to push,” Kim informed Lace.

“Great, I am happy to have you apart of our team. I’m going to go pray with her in a few,” Lace stated as he handed her the check.

“You’re very nice to these girls, when you first told me about this I didn’t think it would be this nice. Lisa spoke very highly of you.”

“These women were not wives, business women or women about anything when I got them. They were strippers, prostitutes and junkies doing nothing with their lives but killing themselves. Why not give back to the women who worked all their lives and now their biological clock is up or the housewives trying hard to give their husband a child. They were throwing their lives away. The reason I don’t allow them out is not control. Most of them will return back to their old life. Lisa was a junkie and look at her now, I found her strung out on a verge of an overdose and now she is clean,” Lace explained.

“Wow, I never thought of it like that. Well, thank you for the job.” Kim nervously shifted her weight from side to side.

“Look at the money and see if the amount is okay.” Lace pointed to the envelope. Kim opened the envelope. She put her hand to her mouth at the amount of money. Lace wrote her a check for fifty thousand dollars.

“Th-this a little too much, I’m not worth that much,” Kim stuttered a little bit.

“You are great with what you do and I want to make sure you understand that. See you tomorrow.” Lace gave Kim a little hug and she left speechless.

Kim pulled into her driveway to Tone’s car and three others. She looked at her car clock and the time said eleven on the dot. Kim huffed and got out the car. She unlocked the door and walked into her house. Tone and five men were sitting in the living room in deep talk that they jumped when she spoke.

“Kim, announce your fucking self,” Tone barked.

“I did, I said ‘hello’,” Kim snapped.

“Anyway. How was work?” Tone asked annoyed.

“Great, I’m a little tired so I’ll be upstairs. I have an early morning.” Kim yawned.

“I’ll talk to you when I come up,” Tone said and turned back to continue his conversation.

  Two hours later …

Tone walked into he and Kim’s master suite aggravated. His house was hit for over five hundred thousand dollars. He almost shit his pants when he saw Mezzie standing in his office. It was the only room with cameras. He didn’t know if she was working alone or what. Tone looked at his peaceful sleeping wife.

“Wake the fuck up, Kim.” Tone slapped her face. She made a snorting sound and looked around the room.

“Stop putting your hands on me, Antonio. What do you want? I have to be up in a couple hours.” Kim yawned rubbing her face, bothered.

“I didn’t want to worry you, but the gold bricks your father gave us for our wedding is gone. And half of my money to re-up.” Tone sat down defeated, this was a total lost. The money that was stolen was for his connect and to buy more weight. Now he had to take out his personal money and that was going to leave his pockets a little bruised.

“Tone, I knew this would happen, we had them since we got married and now they are gone. I told you to put in a safety deposit box but, no, you didn’t listen. They are worth ten times more now, what does this mean?”

“I have the money to put back, but we gonna have to ask Lace for some more money.”

“I will not ask that man for more money, he gave money and that was that. I actually like this job.” Kim firmly stood her ground. Tone threw his Balenciaga sneaker at Kim’s head.

“Bitch how the fuck is this mortgage going to get paid? Or the car payments? You’re so stupid, Kim,” Tone said.

“You’re so damn petty. I won’t ask for more money. Call me what you want but ya’ ass will be the one six feet under if you don’t get your money right,” Kim yelled and turned over to go back to sleep.

Tone had half the mind to slap the shit out of her but decided against it, Kim wouldn’t hesitate to call the cops if he continued and jail was the last place he needed to be. He sat back on the plush chair and pulled his hat over his eyes, sleep found him moments later.

  Chapter Eleven

  Moses and Reshawn sat divid
ing the money up between all four of them. Moses was to split his half with Tiffany and Reshawn was to split his with Mezzie. Reshawn hit Rosario with some money also. Moses felt like a teenager running around hitting licks and he was ready to make boss moves.

“Look we came off good with this money. Now it’s time to start showing his ass we ain’t playing.” Moses licked his fingers and finished counting the money.

“Yeah, you right. I know we had to put him in a hole with all the money we just took.” Reshawn stacked the money in his Louis Vuitton duffle.

“I think we should still fuck with his trap houses and shit to build our money. he tried to take lives so we’ll take what matters to him. Money,” Moses suggested.

“I ain’t gonna lie like this stick up boy routine ain’t bringing me down memory lane,” Reshawn chuckled.

“Look, we keep stacking our money by taking his. We also are going to find out who picks up and delivers for him. We do that by watching his trap houses, we see who comes and goes and intercept they shit. The point is to fuck up whatever relationship he has with his connect. I want to cripple his money and then when he think it can’t get any worse, I want to kill him with my bare hands.” Moses got up and poured him a glass of water.

“He gonna have two people gunning for his ass, his connect and us. This can go real right or real wrong where we might become targets,” Reshawn added.

“I can promise it will go real right. I already have Epiphany and Promise sitting on one of his houses.” Moses confirmed.

Tiffany and Tyrisha shopped in Barneys. Tonight was Mezzie’s birthday and Tiffany was looking for an outfit plus a gift for Mezzie. Tyrisha was looking for an outfit for the party and her night cap with Lace. Tiffany and Tyrisha hadn’t hung out since their mini argument the night Tyrisha came in drunk. Tiffany loved her friend but she hated what she was doing. Tiffany was wise enough to know Tyrisha was fucking with someone behind Moses’s back.
